Herbert J. Botwinick, CPA began his accounting career in 1960 upon receiving his BS in accounting from Temple University. After gaining experience at a major New York City accounting firm, he became an associate at a large, prominent Bergen County Firm. Subsequently, he formed the firm what is known today as Botwinick & Company, LLC.
Herb has extensive experience in all phases of accounting and has played an active role in negotiations and mediation matters on behalf of his clients. He is a member of the American Institute of CPAs, the New Jersey Society of CPAs, the New York Society of CPAs and a past president of the Estate Planning Council of Bergen County. In addition, Herb served as an adjunct professor at Fairleigh Dickinson University Graduate School for 19 years.
Herb has served his community in many areas. Among them, he has played a very active role in the Jewish Community Center of Paramus and was recently honored by the organization for his hard work and dedication.
Steven A. Botwinick, CPA, CFP

Steven A. Botwinick, CPA, CFP joined the firm in 1991 after gaining valuable experience with a large regional accounting firm and a "Big 5" international accounting firm. Steven provides clients with accounting, audit and tax services, business and venture capital consulting, business start-up and personal financial planning.
Steven obtained his B.S. in accounting from Syracuse University in 1986. He is a certified public accountant licensed to practice in both New York and New Jersey. He is also certified by the International Board of Certified Financial Planners as a CFP. In addition, he is a licensed mortgage loan originator in the State of New Jersey and a registered investment advisor representative.
Steven is a member of both the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the New Jersey State Society of Certified Public Accountants.
Steven is active in his community's youth sports program where he has served for many years as both a soccer and baseball coach.
Kenneth S. Botwinick, CPA

Kenneth S. Botwinick, CPA, serves accounting, tax, and business consulting needs of small to medium sized businesses. While well versed in the accounting needs of all closely held businesses, Ken has developed a concentration in serving the needs of dental and medical practices. As a frequent lecturer at continuing education seminars for dentists, Ken has covered many relevant topics including tax implications in practice transitions as well as the business side of dentistry.
Ken obtained a B.S. in accounting from Syracuse University in 1991. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants. Licensed in both New Jersey and New York, Ken serves clients from the South Shores of New Jersey to the Hudson Valley of New York.
Prior to joining Botwinick & Company, L.L.C. in 1997, Ken had been associated with multinational accounting and consulting firms in their New York City "Metro" offices.
Deborah A. Birnbaum

Deborah A. Birnbaum has been associated with Botwinick & Company, LLC since 1971.
Specializing in accounting, business consulting & management, auditing, taxes and bankruptcy reporting, her client base encompasses all types of industries and services. Deborah additionally heads the firm's "high net worth and entertainer's bill paying and bookkeeping" team.
Debbie's many years of experience allow her to work "hands-on" with clients and walk them through their daily problems, whether related to computer programs, payroll or any other issues that may arise.
Debbie received a BA from Fordham University in 1973 and a second degree in accounting from William Paterson University in 1983.

Michael Emr, CPA joined Botwinick & Company, LLC in 2008 by merging in his own firm he founded over 10 years ago. Prior to forming his own CPA firm he worked in the tax department for a large local CPA firm, Untracht Early, LLC and served as VP of Accounting and Finance for a financial services corporation.
Michael’s broad expertise in taxation and tax planning strategies includes corporate, partnership, trust, estate and individual compliance. Michael has in-depth experience with high level compliance services including multi-state allocations and consolidations. The consulting and accounting experience he possesses includes corporate reorganizations and capitalization as well as financial planning.
Michael has held management and leadership positions outside the public accounting sector, serving as an executive for a financial services corporation and as a member of the Board of Directors for various non-profit groups.
Michael is an active member of several professional associations including the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants. Michael received his Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Finance in 1993 from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.

Paul Levine joined Botwinick & Company, LLC in 2006. Paul began his career in public accounting with New Jersey's largest based accounting firm. He further enhanced his skills in the Private accounting arena just prior to joining the firm.
At Botwinick & Company, LLC, Paul specializes in the firm's emerging markets division. In addition to providing the tax and accounting needs of start up businesses, Paul provides business plan development, budgeting, and forecasting services to his clients.
